“Uncomfortable” with the injury. Miguel Oliveira questions his participation in the Italian GP

The Portuguese pilot Miguel Oliveira (Aprilia) acknowledged that he still feels “uncomfortable” due to the shoulder injury suffered in the MotoGP Spanish Grand Prix and does not know if he “will race in Mugello” in the Italian GP.

“The shoulder is not easy to recover. We are doing what we can with the physiotherapist to leave the shoulder in good condition”, revealed Miguel Oliveira, in statements released this Tuesday by the official website of the MotoGP World Championship on the Internet.

The Almada rider participated in an event promoted by the Aprilia brand, where he had the opportunity to ride a competition motorcycle, but said he felt “uncomfortable” due to the injury suffered in the fall with the Frenchman Fábio Quartararo (Yamaha) in the GP from Spain.

“I did a few laps for the fans, but I felt uncomfortable. I don’t know if I’m going to race in Mugello. I’ll wait until race week to find out. I want to return to 100% and be competitive”, highlighted Miguel Oliveira.

The Portuguese driver, who already missed the French GP on May 14, admits that with each absence he loses race pace.

“It’s going to be tough because every race you lose your rhythm. We have to come back safely and without thinking about injuries. But I have to feel one hundred percent, ”she stressed.

Miguel Oliveira believes that it can “give good results”.

“It’s a shame not to have been able to do more races on Sundays, because I know the results would be noticeable,” he concluded.

The Portuguese rider, who this year went from KTM to RNF Aprilia, had already been run over by the Spanish Marc Márquez (Honda) in the main race of the Portuguese GP, the opening race of the world championship, on March 26, failing the following career, in Argentina, due to injury.

After having returned to the United States GP, he was again out of the race in the main round of the Spanish GP, the fourth round of the calendar, which dictated his absence from the French GP on May 14 due to an injury to his left shoulder.

The next round of the championship, the sixth, will be the Italian GP, in Mugello, on June 11.
