Real Madrid announced this Sunday the farewell of Karim Benzema, the French striker who reached it meringues in 2009.

The announcement was communicated through Real Madrid’s social networks. In the released communiqué, the residents of Madrid state that the decision to “end his brilliant and unforgettable spell” as a player at the club was made between the two sides.

“Karim Benzema’s trajectory at Real Madrid was an example of behavior and professionalism, and represented the values ​​of the club,” the note read. Therefore, the club says, the player has “won the right to decide his future”.

In the same communiqué, the whites they also announce that next Tuesday (the 6th) at noon there will be “an institutional act of tribute and farewell to Karim Benzema, in the presence of President Florentino Pérez”.
