ASAE arrests seven people for speculation in ticket sales for Jamor

The Economic and Food Security Authority (ASAE) arrested seven people this Sunday, including two minors, for speculation in the sale of tickets for the final of the Portuguese Soccer Cup, which was played at the Estádio Nacional do jamor.

“During the course of the action, 27 ticket titles with nominal values ​​of 20Euro, 25Euro and 35Euro were seized, which would be being sold at prices well above the value presented, with speculated values ​​ranging between 40Euro and 120Euro per ticket, constituting thus in undue advantages of high value”, ASAE said in a statement released today.

The detainees were charged facts and subject to a term of identity and residence (TIR) ​​​​and notified to appear in court.

“In relation to minors, participation in the Family and Minors Court of the area of ​​residence was prepared and, after the preparation of a file, one of the minors was handed over to a relative because the parents were absent from the country ”, explained the ASAE.

“ASAE warns consumers that they should avoid purchasing tickets above their official value, since this sale constitutes a crime of speculation, punishable by imprisonment from 6 months to 3 years and a fine of not less than 100 days,” recalls the authority in the notice. .

In today’s action, ASAE also arrested a person for the crime of forgery, having seized “383 counterfeit garments of the FCP (Futebol Clube do Porto) brand for an amount of 3,150 euros.”
