Xiaomi Mi Wireless Outdoor Security Camera
Xiaomi Mi Wireless Outdoor Security Camera is a simple and effective solution to monitor the surroundings of your home. This wireless outdoor camera has a fairly compact design and is easy to install thanks to its integrated wall mount. Then just set it up using the Xiaomi Home app. The device captures images in 1080p and provides a fairly wide viewing angle of 130°.
The sequences filmed by the device are also good, especially during the day. However, the quality deteriorates in low light, but it is still quite satisfactory. The night vision distance is 7m. The Xiaomi signed product benefits from many practical and common functions, such as motion detection or sending alerts in real time to your smartphone in case of problems.
Resistant to outdoor weather conditions (IP65 certification), the Xiaomi Mi Wireless Outdoor Security Camera is not afraid of dust or water. In addition, in the absence of offering a cloud storage system, the camera is supplied with a connection base equipped with a USB port and an SD card reader to increase its storage capacities. A USB-C cable is provided for charging, but not the power supply. The Chinese manufacturer announces an autonomy of three months.
TP Link Tapo C500
The Tapo C500 is a motorized surveillance camera, which allows it to offer a 360° horizontal and 130° vertical vision to cover all angles. The device offers a Full HD 1080p image resolution for clear and fairly detailed daytime images. In low light conditions, its infrared vision offers a visual distance of up to 30 meters. You can also choose to physically block the camera sensor for more privacy if you don’t want to be filmed when you’re at home.
Easy to set up via its dedicated app, the TP-Link camera is also equipped with artificial intelligence that allows it to detect people and track their movements. In case of unusual activity, the camera sends a notification to all your configured smartphones or tablets. You can then launch live video and even communicate through the camera with its built-in two-way microphone. It also offers a customizable sound alarm.
The Tapo C500 is resistant to bad weather, including splashing water and dust, as evidenced by its IP65 certification. The device is fixed to a wall or ceiling using the supplied bracket. It should be noted that the peripheral does not include a battery: an electrical supply is necessary to power it. The camera has a microSD port for local video storage of up to 512GB, but it’s also possible to use TP-Link’s cloud storage service by subscribing to Tapo Care.

Google Nest Camera
The main advantage of the Google Nest Cam is that it can be used both outdoors and indoors. It is easily set up via the Google Home app and installation is also a breeze as this wireless camera is battery operated. This allows you to fix it in the place of your convenience without the need for a nearby electrical outlet.
The Nest Cam sensor shows 2 Mpx and a 130° field of view associated with infrared LEDs for night vision. The quality of the images, whose resolution is up to 1080p, is satisfactory in daylight and in low light. Plus, the Nest Cam is packed with plenty of features. First, a very efficient facial recognition system: Google’s product is capable of differentiating between animals and human beings. Then compatibility with the Google Assistant, a motion sensor up to 7.5m as well as night vision that illuminates up to 6m.
With two-way communication, you can interact with your visitors through the built-in speaker and microphone. Nest’s IP54 rating means it’s weatherproof. An effective product for which Google announces three months of autonomy.
Lexman Outdoor Security Camera
Lexman is partnering with Leroy Merlin to offer a well made and affordable wired outdoor camera. Remotely controllable thanks to Wi-Fi, this product allows you to secure your home using the Enki app. The latter sends a notification to your smartphone if suspicious movement or sound is detected.
The video sensor of this surveillance camera produces sequences in Full HD (1920 x 1080 pixels), enough definition to show quite detailed images. While offering a motion detection distance of up to 15m, Lexman’s product only offers a viewing angle of 80°. The camera has night vision up to 7m and you have the option to communicate with the outside through its built-in speakers and microphone.
The Lexman’s outer chamber is solid. This is demonstrated by its IP65 certification that guarantees its resistance to rain and dust. In case you want to record videos of the detected activities, you have the option to equip the camera with a micro SD card of up to 128 GB.

Netatmo Smart Outdoor Security Camera
A high-end product, the Netatmo wired outdoor camera is distinguished by its strong lighting and howling siren. It offers Full HD image definition, a 100° field of vision, all associated with a 12W LED projector that can be programmed to turn on when a visitor approaches. The product looks like a light, which allows it to blend into the decor, despite its rather large size. The camera is capable of distinguishing movements, differentiating animals, cars and people.
Relatively easy to install, Wi-Fi compatible, the Netatmo product has a 4 Mpx sensor. The image quality is correct both during the day and at night, where the infrared vision, combined with the LED projector, ensures effective detection up to 15 m. The device also offers an alarm that would reach, according to the brand, a sound level of 105 dB. Enough to deter the most motivated intruders.
Compatible with Apple Home Amazon Alexa and Google Home, the smart camera is built to last. Constructed of ultra-durable plastic and glass, it’s waterproof and can withstand weather and operating temperatures ranging from -20°C to 50°C.
Arlo Go 2 4G
