Meta, the US company that owns Facebook, WhatsApp and Instagram, acknowledges that this Friday problems with access to the three social networks were reported.
In accordance with page that reports the status of the company’s servicesthe issues are related to the ad platform and access to the WhatsApp business platform, both of which are “significantly” affected.
“Our engineering teams are aware and are trying to solve the problem as quickly as possible,” the same website reads.
On Twitter, the official WhatsApp and Instagram public relations accounts share similar messages.
“We are aware that some of you may be having issues with IG at this time. We are working to get everything back to normal as soon as possible. Sorry for the inconvenience and thank you for your patience,” the Instagram account read.
The team responsible for WhatsApp writes, at this time, there may be problems sending media files through the application.
On the Downdetector website, where users can freely report – and without consulting the platforms themselves – errors and access problems, there was a peak of complaints at 8:30 p.m.
