One million new accounts in 24 hours
The new competing platform of the already installed Twitch has put its hands in its pocket to turn its rival green. In total, a contract of almost 100 million dollars for two years has been signed between the platform, owned by the online casino group Stake, and xQc. Kick’s goal is to grab the almost 12 million people who follow him. The company hopes to generate new viewing habits among this new amount of viewers.
However, Félix Lengyel will be able to continue broadcasting his debates and games on Twitch. Although the creator does not plan to be as active on the Amazon platform as before, Kick has not requested exclusivity from his new recruit.
The operation already seems to be paying off. This Sunday, June 18, Kick registered one million new subscribers in just 24 hours. A record for the platform that could count on a newcomer: Amouranth.
