Those who follow the series know it, the first season of Silo ends this Friday, June 30. But a few days after the broadcast of this final episode, AppleTV + decided to innovate to discover its series: publish the first episode of Silo in its entirety on Twitter.
The iPhone manufacturer’s streaming service thus becomes the first to make any of its content available to everyone on the social network. In the past, the channels had used the same mechanism to promote their creation by posting series pilots on YouTube, recalls the US site TechCrunch.

This unprecedented promotion is made possible by recent changes to Twitter, since Elon Musk took over. The billionaire businessman significantly extended the length of videos that could be posted on the platform.
After the instauration of the Twitter Blue subscription, the paying users are authorized to diffuse the files that can appear just after two hours or 8 hours. At the end of the year 2022, the system will have the propagation of the film throughout the social network.
Silo is an AppleTV+ post-apocalyptic science fiction series based on the novel of the same name by Hugh Howey. It tells the daily life of a community of 10,000 people who live in a giant silo underground to protect themselves from the deadly living conditions on the Earth’s surface.
