Emails, mobile numbers, postal addresses. And even, for some, bank details… A group of automated hackers called KromSec claimed, on Sunday night on its Telegram channel, to have hacked and leaked a file containing the personal details of 1,121 French magistrates.
In response, the Ministry of Justice indicated on Monday that it had filed a complaint for “violation of an automated data processing system”, while explaining that it was “old data” and that the hack had not referred to ” the servants of the Ministry”. of Justice”.
The Union of the Magistracy hacked
According to concordant sources on BFMTV, it is in fact not the Ministry of Justice but the magistrates’ union that was attacked by hackers. Surely it is a file that contains personal data from four or five years ago, some of which have become obsolete.
Contacted, the magistrates’ union indicated that it did not wish to comment on this issue. But, according to several sources, the union has already warned, by email, the affected magistrates to tell them that the personal data had been hacked.
Among the 1,121 magistrates whose details were leaked, some are already retired. Others have now seen outdated data posted. Like Isabelle Rome, the current Minister for Equality between Women and Men. But the revealed file also contains current data on magistrates in sensitive positions.
