Google has just presented a new beta version of Android 14, the new version of its operating system. Apart from the usual few security fixes, this update also adds a new feature that is quite innovative. Now it will be possible to simply type the six digits (or more) of your code without clicking the “enter” key to unlock your phone.
This new feature obviously saves time for the user, but reduces the security of your smartphone. If enabled, Google will warn the user that this feature is “slightly less secure” than having to confirm the action.
some news
Among other new features of the Android 14 beta are new default profile photos, better widget management. It is now possible to change the volume of notifications without changing the volume of the ringtone, a first that Android users have been especially looking forward to.
The beta version of Android 14 is now available to download on Pixel 4A and later versions of the Google phone.
The final version of Android 14 will be available for all affected devices starting in August.
