Why wouldn’t video conferencing be an opportunity to show your creativity at first glance? In Google Meet, the journalist Artem Russakovskii has just detected a new function and it is broadcast by the specialized site The Verge. He allows you to use generative artificial intelligence to design a fund during your remote trades.
While many users let their office or living space appear behind them, some prefer to blur or replace it during video conferences. But sometimes it is difficult to find the perfect decoration among the predefined models.
Tested with a select few
That’s why Google Meet has introduced a new option: set your own background. To do this, the software uses generative AI. Allows the user to enter a query and choose a rendering style. In this way, four images created from the entered sentence are generated. The selected proposal is placed directly behind the person.
But this feature is being tested with only a few at the moment. Only people who are part of the Google Workplace Labs program are eligible. This program gives access to new products tested by the company in preview.
Unfortunately, French users are not eligible for this device. However, Google ensures that the generation of funds by AI is being deployed gradually. This gives hope, in the long term, for integration into the public version of the software.
