The WhatsApp messaging service was having problems, on an international scale, that prevented its users from sending and receiving messages.
In Portugal, the problem began to appear shortly after 9:00 p.m., but it was also seen in other parts of the world.
For example, in the case of Spain, according to the DownDetector portal, there were reports of problems in the main cities, such as Madrid, Barcelona, Valencia, Seville, Bilbao or Palma.
This portal shows a graph with the reported problems, where there is a vertical shot at 9:00 p.m.
Around 9:50 p.m., the return to normal operation began.
