The blue bird is over. In fact, the historical logo of Twitter has been replaced by an “X”. Elon Musk made the new name of the social network official on Monday, July 24. After a call to the netizens, a new logo was put online during the morning.
Disappeared from platform site
Hardly decided, already adopted. The platform’s official account was soon renamed “X” and sports a new logo. But it only took a few hours for the blue bird to be replaced on the social network’s home page as well. At the top left of the site, users now find an “X”.
The blue bird is no longer visible on the Twitter site. But the animal is currently still present in the app logo. While the changes have been made within the platform, changes at the app store level are still pending. They should arrive in the next few hours.
In San Francisco, a large X was projected onto the façade of the company’s headquarters. This is the first phase of Elon Musk’s plan to create his “app that does it all”, inspired by China’s WeChat. According to Linda Yaccarino, the social network’s executive director, X should “connect us all in ways we’re just beginning to imagine.”
