Yard Force SA900B
Despite its cheaper price than high-end robotic mowers, the Yard Force SA900B has serious advantages for a device at this price point. With its maximum mowing capacity of 900 m², the machine is suitable for owners of medium and large gardens. Practical, it is capable of mowing efficiently on slopes of up to 40% and the cutting height is easily adjustable from 20 to 60mm by 18cm wide.
Its smart features will make your life easier. Its obstacle sensor allows it to avoid furniture, trees and flowers installed in your garden. It also incorporates a lift and rollover sensor, as well as a rain sensor. In bad weather, the robotic lawnmower is automatically called to its charging station to prevent damage. Its mulching feature allows you to cut grass into very small pieces and spread them over your lawn to make a natural mulch for your soil instead of collecting it in a bin.
Once the perimeter boundary wire is in place, its touch screen control panel allows you to easily program it, defining precise cutting times adapted to your needs. Easy to use, you can also direct the device via Bluetooth using the dedicated mobile application. The SA900B has a range of 1h20 and it takes 1h30 to recharge its battery. Enough to mow more or less large areas without the need to recharge it regularly. The device is unlocked using a PIN code to prevent theft and the 56 dB it emits during activity make it a very quiet device.
Price: from 699.99 euros – Available on the Yard Force website and at Leroy Merlin.
Honda Miimo HRM310
With the Miimo 310, the Japanese manufacturer Honda offers a well-made robotic lawnmower capable of mowing up to 1,500 m² with a performance of 83 m²/h. Supplied with a 500m perimeter cable (to delimit the perimeter), its ability to work on slopes of up to 45% makes it compatible with medium-sized gardens and with pronounced reliefs.
The cutting height is adjustable between 20 and 60 mm by 22 cm wide and the robot offers different cutting modes (random, directional, spiral) that can be adjusted according to your wishes, the type of garden and the length of the lawn. Among its main features, it is worth highlighting the management of areas, to configure the cutting of specific parts of a lawn, as well as the presence of a 360° collision sensor that allows the robot to avoid obstacles located in its path. In addition, its three blades stop automatically when it tips over or tilts to avoid any risk of accident.
Say goodbye to the grass catcher – leftover clippings are spread at ground level to provide natural fertilizer for your garden. The Miimo 310 does not have a remote control and is configured through its control panel that allows full programming of the machine. If the device benefits from a rather short charging time (30 minutes), it suffers from low autonomy (40 minutes).
In use, the Miimo 310 emits 62 dB. Mowing your garden is done silently: you are not disturbed and the device can work overnight. Another advantage is that the Honda product is fully waterproof and can work in the rain. Security level, an alarm sounds if the mower is lifted off the ground. You can only start after entering a PIN code.
Price: from 1649 euros – Available on the web sling.
Segway Navimow H500E
The first robotic lawnmower from Segway urban mobility specialist Navimow is a serious contender. The device has a mowing capacity for areas from 500 m² to 3000 m² (depending on the model) and on slopes of up to 45%. First of all, it is ultra-quiet (54 dB) and therefore you can mow even late in the day without disturbing.
It gets up and running quickly thanks to its integrated virtual limiting technology and a very simple and detailed configuration (no need for cables or limiting elements). The mower has a VisionFence sensor for this which will map the terrain and honor virtual barriers added to the app for areas to avoid. The robot offers cuts from 30 mm to 60 mm in height and. 21 cm wide. Please note that the device is quite heavy (more than 16 kg).
The Navimow adapts impeccably to complex gardens, full of corners or with many trees, shrubs, fixed objects, etc. Its sensor identifies the objects to be avoided, even in motion (animal, ball, person, etc.). And this, up to 5 m in front of him and at an angle of 140°.
In this model there is also a tracking system that allows you to know where the mower is at any time and thus prevent theft (except the first model). The charging station is coupled to an antenna that captures satellite signals that return an extremely precise position of the device and refines the mapping, as well as the commands sent.
Price: from 1499 euros depending on the model – Available on the site of segway and associated brands.
EcoFlow blade
It is well on its way to becoming one of the Rolls Royces of robotic lawn mowers. The EcoFlow Blade ticks all the boxes for what you can ask of a device of this type. Behind its original design, the mower has an autonomy of between 3 and 4 hours, it can tackle surfaces of up to 3000 m². It offers a harvest from 20 to 76 mm in height by 26 cm in width. It can face any environment and overcome obstacles up to 4 cm thanks to its mountain bike wheels (20 cm in diameter). Its advantage is that it allows extremely fast mowing, even on sloping terrain. It’s not the most discreet, but the time savings are real and you can activate or schedule the cut from the application.
Among its very practical assets, the virtual delimitation of the area to be mowed from the EcoFlow application. It is not necessary to place physical beacons on the ground or cable. To do this, it relies on an on-board camera and a fairly precise LiDAR sensor, with AI support and various sensors that allow it to avoid flower beds and other garden elements. And it changes quickly in the app if you change your layout. These sensors also allow you to tailor your cutting path to prevent stalling.
If the Blade has many advantages, it is not the cheapest on the market. It must be said that it has a rain sensor to know how to return to its base from the first drops and an anti-theft system thanks to the onboard 4G eSIM card and its GPS. Multiple updates will be added over time to refine its features. It is also possible (optional) to add a sweep kit that will collect debris from the lawn (dead leaves, wood, debris, etc.).
Price: from 2699 euros – Available on the website ofEcoFlow, Amazon and about Hand hand.
