This is the highly anticipated announcement of this return to school: the arrival of the new iPhone range. This will be announced on September 12 or 13 at the traditional Apple conference, where the brand’s teams will reveal the new products that are expected a few weeks later in stores.
But this year there should be a product missing for the official launch of most of the brand’s new smartphones: the iPhone 15 Pro Max, the most expensive product in the new range of smartphones. According to information from the specialized media 9to5Mac, the smartphone could see its launch delayed between three and four weeks, with a launch scheduled for October, while the rest of the range will be available around September 22.
A problematic camera
The cause of this delay? A problem with components, specifically with parts of the camera system. The supplier Sony could not deliver on time the famous sensor (IMX903) used by the new iPhone.
In fact, this new lens system is different from the other three iPhone 15 models, which will theoretically have less efficient camera modules.
But the novelties will not be lacking in this new range of iPhone. The main one will be the arrival of a USB-C charger, which replaces the Lightning present since 2012. An “Action” button will also be integrated instead of the current “silent” button, located on the side of the device. It will allow access to various shortcuts.
The iPhone 15 Pro should have a titanium edge, to avoid scratches and lighten the weight of the phone, but not its price: the iPhone 15 Pro Max will continue to sell for around 1,500 euros, at least.
