The hundreds of thousands of French, Franco-Moroccan or Moroccans living in France can now reach Morocco at no additional cost. Following the earthquake that devastated part of the country on the night of September 8 to 9, the four main operators announced the application of exceptional measures to facilitate communications between France and Morocco.
Until September 15 or 16
This September 9, Orange communicated publicly on the issue, with free (until September 16 inclusive) for all calls and SMS made from a French mobile to Morocco (excluding prepaid offers). Sosh subscribers are also affected.
For its part, the Libre operator offers this measure until Friday, September 15 inclusive. As with Orange, it is already effective, although this time it is more supervised. It allows you to make two hours of free calls to Morocco (landline or mobile) and send unlimited SMS messages.
For its part, SFR (which belongs to Altice France, like BFMTV) announces to Tech&Co a measure similar to that of Orange, for SFR clients such as RED by SFR. Starting this Monday morning, September 11, calls and SMS sent from a French mobile phone to Morocco will be free. The expiration date should be communicated in the next few hours.
Finally, Bouygues Telecom also confirms to Tech&Co that calls and SMS messages from its Bouygues Telecom – and B&You – mobile customers to Morocco are free from this Saturday, September 9 to Saturday, September 16 inclusive.
