iPhone 15 Pro: what to expect from Apple’s most expensive iPhone, expected at the keynote conference

The brand’s most advanced smartphone should benefit from new features. But it should cost even more.

In addition to the iPhone 15 and iPhone 15 Plus, Apple will present the iPhone 15 Pro and iPhone 15 Pro Max this Tuesday, September 12. Once again, the very high-end versions will be available in 6.1 and 6.7-inch formats. Like all new 2023 models, the iPhone Pro should benefit from new connectivity, with the arrival of USB-C replacing Lightning.

Among other new features, the iPhone 15 Pro and Pro Max should include a new button, called the “Action” button. Replacing the “Mute” button, it can be customized to the user’s preferences, to access a selection of functions with a simple press (flashlight, camera, etc.). The latter can still be programmed to silence the device.

A17 chip and x6 zoom

The iPhone 15 Pro should also benefit from a new chip, called A17 Bionic. For the first time, it would be a processor recorded in 3nm, an industry record. This feature allows you to obtain maximum power, consuming less energy, to preserve the autonomy of the mobile phone.

The device should benefit from several photographic improvements, with greater optical zoom thanks to a periscopic camera module, only available in the Max version. In this way, a x6 zoom could be offered (compared to the current x3), without loss of image quality, compared to a x3.5 zoom of the iPhone 15 Pro.

The finishes of the device should also evolve, with a metallic edge in titanium, compared to the steel of current models.

But all these new features come at a price: despite a very high price of 1,329 euros for the iPhone 14 Pro at the time of its launch, Apple has decided to increase the bill even further. Therefore, an increase of about one hundred euros could be applied.
