The sale of the iPhone 12 is prohibited in France. In an interview with ParisianThe Minister of Digital Transition and Telecommunications, Jean-Noël Barrot, announces that the National Frequency Agency (ANFR) notified Apple this Tuesday of its decision to withdraw the marketing of this iPhone model, accused of emitting too many waves according to current standards.

Threat of withdrawal
And the minister is willing to go further if the brand, currently in the middle of a keynote to present the iPhone 15, does not bring the phone into compliance.
“If it does not do so, I am willing to order the withdrawal of the iPhone 12 in circulation. The rule is the same for everyone, including the digital giants,” continues Jean-Noël Barrot, who declares himself confident “in the sense of responsibility of the company to comply with our standards.
This compliance of the phone should be simple for the American manufacturer, since “it requires a simple software update,” explains the minister.
