Wanting a large screen is often synonymous with a great weight to carry with you in addition to the resulting volume. But the comfort of a 15 or 16-inch panel is still immeasurable for working, watching videos or creating.
Therefore, Acer has found a solution with its new Swift Edge. This laptop is equipped with a 16-inch OLED panel, but it only shows 1.17kg on the scale for 12.95mm thickness. Enough to claim, according to the manufacturer, the title of “the lightest in the world” 16-inch PC.
A tiny kilo on the scale
This is possible thanks to an ultra-thin chassis that combines magnesium and aluminum, which does not prevent it from being robust and elegant. The 4K display takes up most of the screen thanks to extremely thin bezels and looks very bright, with a very wide color gamut.
But the manufacturer has not simply opted for its lightness and design. The interior is also packed with quality equipment. There is an AMD Ryzen PRO 6000 processor that allows you to work in good conditions with a responsive PC in data processing and reinforced in security. It thus integrates Microsoft Pluto, a security processor that provides an additional layer of protection for credentials under Windows 11.
The front camera takes advantage of technology to improve rendering in low light conditions. And the Acer PurifiedVoice audio system with artificial intelligence amplifies voice and reduces ambient noise for quality video calls.
It is compatible with Wi-Fi 6E. There is a full range of connectors (HDMI 2.1, 2 x USB-C 3.2 Gen 2, 2 x USB, audio jack).
Acer Swift Edge price and availability
