The luxury crystal manufacturer Baccarat announced, on Wednesday, September 27, 2023, that it was the victim of a cyberattack that partly affects its operations.
“Baccarat is the subject of a cyber attack that partially limits its operation and activity, but the company continues to operate and its teams are mobilized to continue serving its customers,” the glass factory said in a statement.
Baccarat teams, supported by external experts, are assessing the nature and extent of this incident and “preparing a gradual return to normality.”
Some data not available
The company specifies that some of its data is currently unavailable “but there is no indication that the personal or confidential data of its customers, employees or partners has been compromised.”
Protecting the data of its stakeholders is the company’s “absolute priority,” Baccarat says.
Baccarat is a company founded in the 18th century in the homonymous town of Meurthe-et-Moselle.
