Electronic Arts makes all FIFA brand games disappear

With the loss of the FIFA license, Electronic Arts can no longer sell its old football simulation games. Previous FIFA games are now not available on Steam or console stores.

EA FIFA no longer exists, long live EA Sports FC 24! Since the loss of its thought-to-be eternal partnership with the international football body, Electronic Arts has had to change the name of its famous simulation game which officially launches this Friday, September 29. But the divorce doesn’t end there.

When browsing the various online video game sales stores, several players and experts noticed that no games appeared with the old EA FIFA brand.

No more FIFA except by subscription

Until now, EA offered the games for sale. FIFA 14 has FIFA 23, released last year, either on Steam for PC, in the PlayStation, Xbox or Nintendo stores. No more can be found and search engines generally point to EA Sports FC 24.

Only Origin, the American publisher’s software for PC and Mac, still offers FIFA 22 AND FIFA 23but only to play it if you already have the game. Otherwise, you can play it through the EA Play subscription on PlayStation 4 or 5 and Xbox One or Xbox Series.

If you haven’t bought the game yet, it’s too late… or it will be a physical version in the store.
