This Tuesday the first European Center of Excellence for Cloud Security will be inaugurated in Matosinhos, which will allow, from Portugal, to export information security solutions to clients around the world.
Rúben Viegas, director of Accenture and head of the new space, explains that there is increasingly a need to avoid or minimize the damage caused by a possible cyber attack and this new center meets that objective.
“This center aims to create a critical mass of highly specialized resources in the area of cloud security to help customers in the market adopt these products from cloud safely and efficiently,” he explains.
The Accenture director recalls that a “very recent” study found that “74% of organizations have concerns about how they respond to or prevent cybersecurity attacks.”
“Also in the recent past, we had studies that showed that 40% of organizations adopted IT services. cloud and identified that it was very difficult to implement security mechanisms, 30% adopted the cloud without these mechanisms and 30% of other responses indicated that they are not adopting the cloud for security reasons,” he points out.
The Matosinhos Cloud Security center invested in local talent and has around 50 professionals from the North region.
The new space opens this morning.
