The fight “will be postponed a little.” The head of the Meta group, Mark Zuckerberg, shared this Friday, November 3, a series of photos in a hospital bed, revealing that he underwent surgery for a knee injury, contracted during MMA training.
“Zuck”, who mentions a “torn anterior ligament”, explains that he underwent surgery to replace it, after an injury that occurred during training for a fight that should have taken place “early next year”. “I can’t wait to do it when I recover,” he wrote.
A future fight against Elon Musk?
A big fan of combat sports, Mark Zuckerberg agreed to face Elon Musk, another MMA enthusiast and technology giant, in a fight. The date of August 26 had been suggested, and the boss of X (formerly Twitter) even evoked a kind of peplum in Italy.
Elon Musk, however, had to call off this fight due to a “minor operation” for a “problem with (his) right shoulder blade rubbing against (his) ribs.” The two tech giants have been at odds for years over their opposing worldviews, from politics to artificial intelligence, and their animosity appears to have deepened in early July with the launch of Threads, X’s direct competitor.
