WhatsApp Premium is an optional feature that will be available in the Business version of the app. Aimed at companies, it offers functionalities that allow them to interact more easily with customers.
According to the WABetaInfo site, the message should announce a release soon. At the moment, WhatsApp Premium is available for certain companies in certain countries that install the latest Beta version of WhatsApp Business for android and iOS.
This Premium feature does two things. First of all, the account can be used by ten devices at the same time against four currently in the classic version of the application. It is possible to integrate private employees among the ten users.
The second option is the creation of a custom URL link, created by the company. This link facilitates Internet users’ access to the company’s customer service. It can be changed every 90 days and expires when you cancel the subscription.
To join this Premium feature and find out if it is available for business, the user needs to open the WhatsApp settings: if there is a new section called “WhatsApp Premium”, it means that the business account is eligible.
Meta diversifies your income
WhatsApp plans to roll it out more widely, bit by bit. No date has been announced for the rollout of the app in France and prices have not yet been communicated.
The offer is subject to a monthly payment, but the other features that are already present in WhatsApp and WhatsApp Business will remain free.
Offering paid features allows Meta to diversify its income. The messaging to 2,000 million users does not host any type of advertising, and until then it had no payment option.
