France wants to accelerate the deployment of very high-speed Internet on its territory. To achieve this objective, the Delegate Minister responsible for Digital Jean-Noël Barrot announced, on Sunday, September 17, the extension of financial aid aimed at facilitating the installation of fiber optics among the 7 million French people who are not yet eligible.
In this context, the “Digital Cohesion of Territories” system allows eligible people and companies to benefit from financial support from the State to cover the cost of equipment, installation or commissioning of the chosen wireless Internet access solution ( satellite, local radio). loop or fixed 4G).
Specifically, this aid can reach a maximum of 300 euros for offers labeled as offering Very High Speed (download speed of at least 30 Mbit/s), or even 600 euros, subject to resource conditions and justification of the perception. of a social minimum like this. such as the RSA (Active Solidarity Income) or the AAH (Allowance for Adults with Disabilities).
Offers called “Digital Cohesion”
One platform, the National Territorial Cohesion Agency (ANCT), allows any individual or company to check their eligibility for the system.
You simply have to enter the name of your municipality of residence, indicate your department of residence and then select a fiber optic offer called “Digital Cohesion” among the 190 offered by 16 operators of which Starlink is not one.
If eligible fiber offers are available, they will be indicated. You will then need to contact the selected operator to sign up for the subscription.
