Linkedin continues to diversify its formats. After video games, the Microsoft-owned platform is inspired by Tiktok. It is currently testing a video transmission, reports the specialized site Techcrunch.
Discovered by Austin Null, chief strategy officer at an influencer agency, this vertical feed can be found in the app’s navigation bar for some users, with a new tab simply called “Video.” All you have to do is press this button to see this content, which reviewers can like, comment and share these videos.
A new format for users and creators
This option, which is currently being tested, is a way for Linkedin to drive engagement and discovery on its platform, with videos that users can quickly scroll through. In fact, the social network ensures that videos become one of its users’ favorite formats to learn from professionals and experts.
At the moment, Linkedin has not indicated when it plans to implement this feature for all users. It would allow creators to reach more Internet users with a new space to publish videos, as they do on Tiktok. The social network for professionals could also monetize their video streaming later to encourage them to publish their videos on its platform.
