After announcing that he was ready to complete the takeover of Twitter by the end of the week, Elon Musk posted a video on Wednesday showing him at the Twitter facility, which he must complete by Friday, renaming himself “Chef Twit.” in the social network.
In the short film, the fiery businessman arrives at the reception of what appears to be the company’s headquarters, with a sink in his arms, hilarious. He thus plays with the word “sink”, used in an American expression that he posted in the message that accompanies the video. “I’m going into Twitter headquarters. I’ll let you soak up the information!”, or “let that sink in” in English, he wrote on his account.
Seven months of twists and turns
To put an end, at his request, to the litigation between him and the leaders of the bluebird group, the Delaware judge in charge of the case gave Elon Musk until Friday to finalize the takeover. The conclusion of the transaction would end seven months of adventures that have often pitted the Tesla boss against Twitter leaders.
In early July, Elon Musk announced that he was giving up control of the social network, a decision that Twitter had challenged in the Delaware court. He had finally changed his mind in early October, a few days before a trial that promised to be sensitive for him. But Twitter had refused to drop his lawsuit, prompting the chief judge to dismiss the case and ask the parties to reach a settlement by October 28.
