The seventh edition of the Web Summit has already started in Lisbon. The event has more than 70,000 participants this year and Paddy Cosgrave, the CEO, has already admitted that it will be “by far the most attended Web Summit ever”. He also highlighted the largest number of visitors ever from Brazil.
“Finally, here we are. You are very welcome to Web Summit 2022. We have the most visitors ever, including the most visitors from Brazil,” revealed Paddy Cosgrave.
The first day of the summit also featured the intervention of the first lady of Ukraine, Olena Zelenska. A presence that was kept secret and that only this Tuesday, a few hours before the start of the event, was made known.
Already at the Web Summit, Olena Zelenska said that Russia is using technology in the service of terror and to kill people.
“Russia is putting technology at the service of terror,” accused Olena.
