“I realize a lot of people are mad at me.” In a tweet posted on SaturdayThe Twitter co-founder expressed his regret, a week after billionaire Elon Musk took over the social network.
Layoff of 50% of the workforce
“The people on Twitter, past and present, are strong and resilient. They will always find a way, no matter how difficult the moment is. I realize that many are angry with me,” added Jack Dorsey.
This Thursday, Elon Musk promised to lay off half of his staff. The Californian company, which at the end of October had about 7,500 employees, temporarily closed its offices and notified thousands of people by email, explaining that the objective is “to improve the health of the company.”
Overnight on Thursday, five recently laid off Twitter employees filed a class action lawsuit against the company for failing to receive the 60-day notice period required by US law for mass layoffs (Warning Law).
