Primark website down after launching its first Click & Collect service

The popular fast fashion brand has launched its highly anticipated online shopping service in England and Wales. His popularity outpaced his website, which did not stick.

Irish fast fashion giant Primark, known for its discount clothing, saw its website crash on Monday November 14 after launching its first “Click & Collect” service, which allows you to choose your clothes online and collect them at a physical store. Store.

Bloomberg notes that on Monday the site displayed a blank page indicating that “several people are having difficulty logging in.” The company said it was “working to restart service and allow customers to shop in peace.”

A test for the British

For its online debut, the brand only offers this service in 25 stores in England and Wales, and has focused on collections aimed at children.

It is, therefore, neither more nor less than a large-scale test for the brand. At the moment, neither the delivery nor the deployment of this service has been announced. After years of rejecting the e-commerce system, it was only in June 2022 that Primark came up with the idea. Without an online sales system to recover when stores had to close, the company experienced financial difficulties during the various lockdowns.

However, by the time of these release, it had broken sales records in the UK. In France, Primark opened its first store in 2013 and today it has around twenty.
