Giant electricity failure in Spain: completely not available telecommunications networks

Spain and part of Portugal face a giant electricity decomposition, causing problems in telecommunications networks.

If you try to make a call, send a message or go to the Internet from a smartphone in Spain and part of Portugal, this may not be possible. The two countries in southern Europe are victims of a giant electricity failure, which causes many problems and delays, especially in the telephone network.

As the Middle country reports, it is simply not possible to make an appeal, a tone is not heard, and WhatsApp exchanges are made in the dropper. SMS are also victims of enormous delays after shipping and it is very difficult to use the Internet on your mobile.

A return to normal “as soon as possible”

The main local operators, including Telefónica and Masorange, explain to work on a return to normal “as soon as possible.” Vodafone Spain specifies that 70% of its network remains “temporarily” active thanks to emergency generators.

Among the first affected, there are rescue services, including 112, which asks the inhabitants to call only in case of extreme need given the fact that they use generators.

As for “fixed” Internet connections (by fiber or ADSL), it depends again on networks of networks that must be supplied by permanent electricity.

But each operator must ensure that their main servers are constantly supplied with energy, but not secondary servers. A difference in the treatment that, therefore, could create a generalized breakdown of all mobile and fixed lines through Spain and Portugal.

Also in France, there was a cut, but it was only temporary and only touched the Basque Country, RTE confirmed, the electricity grid manager.
