The courses dedicated to artificial intelligence (AI) will be introduced at all levels and from the garden of infants in the next school year in the public schools of the United Arab Emirates, said the authorities of the rich state of the Gulf.
The Emirati government has approved “the introduction of AI as an issue at all levels of public education, kindergarten at level 12” the equivalent of the terminal class, Dubai’s prime minister, Cheikh Mohammed Ben Rachid al-Maktoum on Sunday.
Prepare for the future with AI
The courses aim to provide students with “the knowledge and skills necessary to understand the principles of AI and their applications in everyday life”, and prepare them to “create and develop intelligent solutions” in the future, said Minister Emirati de l’enyoning, Sarah Al-Amiri, in X.
Emirates, which are among the main oil exporters in the world, bet on AI in the context of their efforts of economic diversification and spend massively in the field.
They are one of the first countries of the world to introduce artificial intelligence (AI) into school programs, “said Minister Emirati.
A ministry of AI already instead
The country was the first in the world to acquire an artificial intelligence ministry in 2017.
It houses a dedicated university, the University of Artificial Intelligence Mohammed Bin Zayed, particular partner of the American Giant of Microsoft Software and the Polytechnic School, one of the most prestigious French engineers.
The Emirates announced this year investments of around 30 to 50 billion euros in France, providing in particular the construction of a “campus” focused on artificial intelligence with a giant data center.
The Emirarati MGX Investment Fund is also dedicated to the Mass Investment Plan for Stargate in AI in the United States.
