Stay competitive while offering novelty. This is Microsoft’s challenge when announcing, on Tuesday, May 6, its new products, the Surfaces LapTop 7 and Surface Pro 11, both the patterned+ co -pilot and make fun of the functions of AI for creativity, productivity and writing help.
To refresh its range, Redmond Giant has reviewed its copy a bit. Its two devices are thinner, lighter and more powerful. They rest in the Snapdragon X Plus processor that brings more computer power and better autonomy. Thanks to its new NPU, the PC and the tablet can execute the local AI tools, without using the cloud for many productivity functions.
More compact and nomadic products
To extend your proposal, it also offer more compact and easy -to -transport solutions, and attracts new users of their low co -cilot+PC, Microsoft focuses on a narrowing of formats, reinforced and light materials (anodized aluminum), but also a price drop.
The laptop surface 7 has a 13 -inch LCD LCD LCD LCD LCD LCD screen with ultrafine edges, where the previous versions existed at 13.8 inches and 15 inches. The camera has improved with AI, the redesigned keyboard to be more receptive, pleasant and the most precise tactile panel.

The Pro 7 surface also makes a facial stretch. If the design is not revolutionary, tablet 2 in 1 is also refined and is lighter (686 g against 895 g for the pro 6 surface). It has a 12 -inch Tactile LCD screen (against 13 previously), with a 90Hz image soda rate. He always has thanks to his adjustable rear crutch. The keyboard and the optical pencil are compatible, but they are sold separately. On the side of autonomy, we can wait a good day (about 12 to 16 hours).
There is no charger in the box
The strength of the two products is also due to their AI capacities. Microsoft injects all the Copilot+ PC experience for productivity, documents summary, translation, design help, creativity … You can create images from a simple idea in the form of prayer. AI can also automate tasks to help you better manage your device, repair it describing the problem, optimizing use.
Either in photos, paint or cut tool, you can better adjust the lighting of your photos, modify selected elements, extract text from a screenshot or an image, share web pages, generate voice text. Other functions, such as the memory (research and opening of personal documents, describing the need) or clicking on dodo (text identification or images that are shown without leaving their workflow, copy, creation of lists, etc.) will be gradually offered in preview.
The Pro 11 surface and the surface of laptop 7 are compatible with Wi-Fi 7 and 5g (optional).
If there are many new products and attract users, another change will please. Microsoft has chosen not to place a power supply in the Pro 11 surface box that is recharged using the USB-C cable supplied and the need for a charger of at least 45W (sold separately). The surface of the laptop 7 maintains its 45 w power supply
However, with the end of the Windows 10 support in October 2025, the need to change the devices that have often renewed at the time of the Covid crisis, the new Microsoft products could seduce a new audience attracted to the functions of AI, to still use and, above all, the power of the products. The surface of the laptop 7 will be available in the ocean, purple or platinum from 1,099 euros from June 10 in France.
The Pro 11 surface also arrives on June 10 in Slate, Ocean or Violet from 979 euros.
