Scheduled for next fall, the iPhone 17 could cost more than its predecessors. This is what the Wall Street Journal progresses. According to US media, Apple plans to increase the price of its future iPhone. An increase that would be linked to the arrival of new characteristics and changes in terms of design.
Among the iPhone 17S range, Apple would include an ultra fine model, which could baptize the iPhone air. With a thickness of 6.2 millimeters thick, according to rumors, it would be finer than the iPhone 6 (6.9 mm), which is the best smartphone in Apple’s story so far.

According to the sources of the Wall Street Journal, the Californian giant wants to prevent anyone from thinking that this price increase is linked to customs tasks imposed by Donald Trump in China, a country where most iPhone are gathered.
While smartphones are among the products temporarily exempt from the latter, Apple reacted by announcing, in early May, that the majority of the iPhone sold in the United States will now occur in India. However, China will continue to ensure most of the production of Pro and Pro Max models, the most expensive iPhone of Apple, according to the Wall Street Journal. This, because India does not yet have enough technical capabilities to support mass production at the scale of what China can currently provide.
The announcement on a possible increase in the future iPhone intervenes, while the United States and China have decided to put their commercial war in pause, with part of the customs tasks that will be suspended for 90 days from May 14.
