With its 2.08 meters, Etienne Car is far from unnoticed in the red carpet of the Cannes Festival, whose 78th edition takes place from May 13 to 24. As every year from four editions, the cameraman, better known under the pseudo of Daetienne, has one goal: to interview the Ribambelle of the stars that Crowds every day in the steps of the Palais des Festivs.

“Without my size, I would not have so many subscribers”
And the answers are surprising. If in one of his videos, seen more than 13 million times, Charlize Theron chooses “I Love” and Alan Ritchson “Cheese”, Jason Statham has selected a French insult.
From time to time, Daetienne has fun asking for the first car of the stars, her favorite movie when they were children or the one they feared. Between two videos of a minute, we learned that Timothée Chalamet was a fan of Monsters and companyWhether Jason Statham had a Volkswagen Golf or Jonathan Cohen would like to live in the Samurai Times.
And these actors are far from an exception. Among Pierre Niney, Chris Hemsworth or Michael B Jordan, Daetienne is used to having stars in front of the camera. You can bet precisely to its size of an old professional basketball player to attract looks.
Ryan Gosling, Omar Sy and Floor
This is, for example, the case of Omar Sy, who originally refused to respond to an interview with the Tiktokeur, followed by 2.6 million subscribers on the short video platform. “Finally, he saw me go beyond the crowd, I offered to come and I could make a video with him,” Daetienne recalls. When asked about the role he would give Etienne if he made a movie, Omar Sy simply replied: “A lamppost.”

If the actors took a bit to adapt to interviews like Tiktok, now “few stars are based,” he emphasizes the cameraman. “Travis Scott is the only one who refused. But he didn’t accept anyone,” he defends himself.
A priori, Daetienne, former basketball player at the Antibes Club Sharks did not intend to talk with Pierre Niney between two previous views. It all started with a simple bet in 2019. “With a friend, we discussed the best platform to start and make videos. He told me that Tiktok was zero and I supported him otherwise.”
To show his friend that he was wrong, he decided to share his first video. A sketch on the difficulties linked to the choice of an apartment when it measures more than two meters. “I went to training. Two hours later, I exceeded 500,000 visits,” he recalls.

Forced to stop his sports career due to an injury, then he dedicated himself to social networks. Quickly, the cameraman finds his concept and begins micro-tops. “At that time, I was shy, so I wanted to leave my comfort zone and continued sharing videos. I went to the street to ask them questions,” he continues.
Again, success is there. During the last four years, Daetienne has been creating full -time content and has experienced a content creation. His little volley interviews attracted the eye of Tiktok, who offered to do the same, but this time, on the red cane carpet.
“In 2022, my videos have been beaten. So, since then, I have returned every year,” insists the content creator who is about to take his train to La Cruas. A blessing for those who “love cinema.” “It is an environment in which I would like to evolve one day,” he concludes. “But for the moment I have not leaned much, I’m going to go there.”
