Optimus Robot Dansses of Tesla now as a human

Tesla reveals 42 seconds of video during which Optimus performs several dance movements. A true demonstration of fluidity and balance for humanoid robot.

The robot dance is now cheesy. In a video demonstration published in X on May 13, 2025, the Humanoids optimus, developed by the Tesla company, show the scope of their new movement capabilities. For 42 seconds, the robot can take different dance steps.

This is an impressive advance since the last time we saw Optimus dance. It was in public in October 2024 at the conference “We, Robot” and the robots had a movement fluidity well below what they currently have.

A matter of balance

Learning to dance a robot may seem useless. But for Tesla, this video shows that the company is progressing in front of one of the biggest challenges for two -way robots, balance. Not to fall, humanoid robots work with a multitude of sensors and must coordinate the dozens of engines with which they are equipped. The work of an engineers.

Holding in one leg for several seconds or jumping along with complex movements was so far very complex to make a 57 kg robot and 1 m70 high.

Optimus is not the first robot that offers such skill in terms of balance. This demonstration replaces Tesla at the same level as its main competitor in the field of humanoid robotics, Chinese Géant Unitree.

The latter develops the H1 and G1 models. And as Tesla, Unitree represents the last progress of his G1 robot in the social network X. In March 2025, we remarkably saw the robot demonstrating Kung Fu or even making a leap aside. In a slightly more disturbing note, it was the H1 model that recently made talk about it, since one of these robots has gone crazy in a mounting chain.

The American company Boston Dynamics is not exempt from rest, since it has published a video in which we see its Robot Atlas that makes a complete palette of acrobatics. However, we hope to see a dancing competition or martial art to decide between G1 and Optimus.
