Predetermined voice assistant on the iPhone, iPad or Macbook, Siri could be soon. At least, within the European Union. According to Bloomberg, Apple could soon allow European users to define another predetermined voice assistant on their devices.
Siri could be replaced by Alexa or Google assistant or even more recent assistants such as Chatgpt. Apple would work on this change to comply with European regulations. These already force the company to allow users to define a predetermined browser that is not safari on their iPhone or use other application stores than the App Store.
Tard of Siri’s altotation
Bloomberg’s revelations intervene, while Apple already allows you to use chatgpt with Apple Intelligence on your iPhone. The OpenAI chatbot is not only integrated into writing tools, which allows composing text or images of a description, but can also answer questions through Siri, if it is not efficient enough.
They also intervene, while the new Siri promised by Apple in 2024 is very late. Smarter, it would not happen before 2027. Meanwhile, other voice assistants have improved to compete with Chatgpt and other chatbots. Last February, Amazon, for example, launched a new version of Alexa, which was expected for a long time. Called Alexa+, you can participate in natural and fluid conversations, but also act in the user’s name.
