Four years ago, during the Choice France forum in June 2021, Evan Spiegel, CEO of Snapchat, made a promise: opened premises in Paris. And now it is done. The platform opened its new Parisian offices this morning on May 19, in the presence of the President of the French Republic.
A date far from harmless since Choose France 2025 opened today at the Versailles Palace.
Gather employees
Specifically, these new facilities, located in the eighth district of Paris, allow the social network to meet its central office and its augmented reality center, or one hundred employees. Called Ar Studio, gather the French talents around the design of immersive and attractive experiences.
In 2022, this augmented reality center had opened at station F, the starting incubator Xavier Niel. The place, for example, has been associated with the George Pompidou Center, the Château de Chantilly or the Louvre Museum.
Therefore, in the most famous Parisian museums, Snapchat proposed in 2023 innovative and educational experiences in augmented reality in the Department of Egyptian antiques. When scanning a QR code, it is possible to take advantage of a very faithful reproduction of a virtual work, as well as additional explanations.
The platform had more than 450 million daily users in December 2024, 10 million more than in the previous quarter. In France, Evan Spiegel is proud to gather more than 26 million Internet users every day. This makes Snapchat the fifth social network most used in France.
