Spain: a breakdown interrupts telephone communications

The emergency aid, which can be achieved at number 112 and impacted by this breakdown in several Spanish regions, “is already restored,” the company said at the end of the morning.

An Spanish telecommunications operator breakdown interrupted certain telephone communications and Internet connections on Tuesday for several hours, which led to difficulties in joining emergency emergency services in several regions of the country.

The emergency aid, which can be achieved at number 112 and impacted by this breakdown in several Spanish regions, “is already restored,” the company said at the end of the morning.

When asked about the precise moment of the beginning of the breakdown and in the affected regions, the group did not want to respond, but around 9 am, several emergency rescue services published alert messages in X to warn users who were not accessible to their usual number.

“The general incident in the Telefónica digital network. The phone number 112 does not work. In an emergency, I call the following numbers,” warned Aragon emergency assistance, which indicates mobile phones.

Emergency emergency services, Galicia or the Valencia region have also published similar messages more or less at the same time.

Spain knew on April 28 a mega-panana of its electricity grid, which deprived of current for long hours, both in the country and in Portugal. The authorities have not yet determined the precise reasons for this collapse of the electrical system of the Peninsula.
