Panic wind in the Hauts-de-Seine. The administration of the Western Paris Department is the victim of a cyber attack, the Tribune reveals. Since the morning of Tuesday, May 20, the digital and communication services of the department have been inactive. The information was confirmed in unknown on the official account of the department.
If the origin of the attack is still unknown, the territory is trying to stop the attack temporarily deactivating “all the usual information and media systems.” Contacted by our cars of the Tribune, the mayor of Neuilly-Sur-Seine confirms that “telecommunications stockings have been reduced as caution.”
A territory at risk
The scope of the attack is also unknown. Especially because the risks are not insignificant in Hauts-de-Seine, a particularly active and populated apartment (1.6 million inhabitants). The Delfense district is in particular in the department, as well as in some other large municipalities (Boulogne-Billancourt, Nanterre, Asnières-Sur-Seine, Colombes).
All communities would have been informed of this cyber attack. “All measures are implemented to evaluate the impact, protect the data from agents and users and restore access to the network and applications,” the Department’s administration told the Tribune.
