In his message, Instagram also refers to users to a page of their help center explaining why their public photos and videos can appear in the results of the search engines.
However, a page that seems not to have been updated yet, the social network that indicates that it authorizes search engines to index these contents only for professional accounts since January 1, 2020. However, the notification suggests that this will refer to all public accounts of July 10.
How to avoid the appearance of public content on Google?
However, it is possible to oppose this indexation, as Instagram indicates in your message. Users who receive notifications have the possibility of “not authorizing” directly in it. As indicated by the page of the platform help center on the subject, define your account as a private also allows you to block this indexation.
Finally, users can also avoid the appearance of their public photos and videos in the search engines of the confidentiality parameters of their account.
