LG launches its transparent television in France at 50,000 euros

Presented at CES 2024 before launching at the end of the same year in the United States, the LG Oled T firm is officially available in France.

We prefer to watch Samsung as a candidate for the first transparent television commercially released, but ultimately, LG embarked on the great bathroom in France. The South Korean manufacturer has announced the availability, on June 18, of its LG TV Oled T.

The product had caused a sensation in these 2024, and had been released a few months later in the United States. Six months later, therefore, it is France that is entitled to it, and the invoice is salty: counts 49,999 euros to offer it.

Transparency and wireless

The main interest of this model is none other than its transparent screen, therefore suggests what is happening behind. Therefore, several modifications are available, including one that allows “a transparent digital canvas” to show works of art or videos. We also notice the presence of the T-bar mode, which comes to show only a thin strip of information at the bottom of the screen (such as the latest news), while the rest and, therefore, transparent.

It is still possible to completely opacify the screen through a dedicated mode, without loss of color or visual quality.

The LG Signature Oled T is aimed at a particularly limited audience, but it is also a wireless television, with a single case that brings together the connection, connected to a single cable to the screen.

On the technical side, we observe that it is still a 4K resolution screen with a cooling speed of up to 120 Hz. It is also certified NVIDIA G-SYNC and AMD FREESYNC, which makes this TV a model of choice for the richest players.
