“I clearly missed my goal”: in front of criticism, Mr.

Five days after its launch, the youtube miniatures generator was eliminated in the MRBASTI. Users are now returned to a list of artists specialized in vignettes.

It wouldn’t have taken long time in Mrbeast Retropedale. After presenting its own YouTube Vignettes generation tool thanks to the AI, the number one cameraman finally eliminated less than a week later.

It all starts on June 22 when the American YouTuber with more than 400 million subscribers reveals its miniature generator fed by artificial intelligence, directly integrated in ViewStats, its platform dedicated to content creators.

“Fundamentally damages the creators”

Now, users of the “Pro Plus” version of ViewStats, available for $ 80 per month, can reproduce miniatures of other cameramen. In a few clicks, it is possible to replace the face with an influencer with that of another.

As expected, the negative reactions were not long to arrive. “What is this disaster? And he used my logo to promote his tool. I hate what this platform becomes,” writes Jack Septiceye.

“The functionality literally makes it possible to put your face in the miniature of another creator,” adds Ludwig’s cameraman. “I am disappointed with the way Mrbeast promotes its AI tool, which steals the work of others,” adds a user.

Other youtubers have criticized the subscription price, considered “too expensive” for what it offers. “Great idea of wanting to make content creation more accessible, but it is not absolutely the solution, and fundamentally damages the creators as a whole,” Pointcrow observes.

“I clearly lost my goal”

Since then, Mrbeast has decided to retreat and eliminate the tool, five days after its launch. “I thought people would be very excited,” said the 27-year-old influencer in a video posted on June 27 in X, Ex-Twitter. “I clearly lost my goal.”

And the YouTubeur went even further. “I wanted to go further to show the artists that I care (artists, editor’s note),” says Mrbeast. Now, viewstat users are redirected to a list that listed real artists who specialize in miniatures, as well as in their contact data. “Basically, I wanted to transform this negative situation into something positive.”

“I care more than you can imagine in the YouTube community. (…) I guarantee that I probably spent more money on YouTube miniatures than the 100 best combined youtubers,” he concludes.
