“We have the desire to accelerate.”

The introduction of a maximum of French companies in AI is the objective of “Dare The AI”. In the Tech & Co microphone, The Daily Newspaper, the minister of Delegate Clara Chappaz came to present this plan led by the French government.

“100% use among the large French groups in 2030”. This is the objective shown by the government plan “Dare The AI”, launched on July 1, 2025. TECH & CO LA QOTIVIENNE, the delegated minister in charge of AI and Digital, Clara Chappaz, once again established this ambitious system.

“This is the French paradox today, since 2018, we have arrived very early, we are in the race (…) with (new) phase, it is good to contact the issue of adoption, because we can clearly see that there are late companies,” said Clara Chappaz.

Its deployment follows an observation by the government: only a minority of French companies has adopted AI among its daily tools. The smallest companies are particularly resistant to the adoption of technology. By integrating AI into practices, the State hopes to make companies of all sizes win productivity and competitiveness.

“Dare The AI” solves by 2030 a deployment of AI in:

  • 100% large groups (for 53% today)
  • 80% of ETI and SME (for 13% today)
  • 50% of VSES (for 8% today)

A three -step transition

This initiative aims to convince companies of opportunities related to AI and support them in the process is based on three stages: create awareness, training and support.

To achieve this, the government is launching the recruitment of more than 300 ambassadors. The latter will be responsible for explaining the possible uses of AI in its respective sector (industry, research, transport, agriculture, education, etc.). It will also organize meetings and events to connect companies and advisors to AI.

“When we look macro, we are not in advance, because when we question people, they tell me ‘the AI, it is intimidated’, that is many questions (…) that is the ambition of this plan, to suppress this cultural blockade,” said the minister. “There is a way for AI to help many sectors, but it will be different every time.”

The State undertakes to train almost 15 million professionals by 2030. For this, an Internet platform called “AI Academy” should open in October 2025. In the latter, training and tutorials on the use of AI for companies will be available. The Government also intends to massively implement training in AI in university courses, for employment applicants, but also for employees and managers, depending on the company.

“I do not believe in a world in which AI will replace us, but it is increasingly obvious that there will be a gap between employees, business managers, executives, who use AI and others,” adds Clara Chappaz, who wishes to launch training workshops so that the greatest number can be interested in it.

The rest of the program provides support for each company in its transition, first when evaluating what could be relevant depending on the case of use. The State also intends to help organizations finance this implementation.

France in the middle of AI

This plan continues the effort of the Government of Emmanuel Macron so as not to miss the turn of artificial intelligence. President Marta his desire to build European digital sovereignty, which responds to the “daring to AI” plan.

As such, Clara Chappaz explains wanting to highlight the “sovereign” and “French”.

This will also be manifested through other initiatives, such as the association between Mistral and Nvidia presented during the Vivatech 2025 fair.
