“This site has been seized”: the FBI closes an illegal switch games

The NSW2U site closed on July 10 after an FBI and FIOD action. Nintendo continues its fight against piracy of its games and consoles.

A new victory for Nintendo. This Thursday, July 10, the FBI confiscated the NSW2U site, mainly known for offering a large pirate games library for the Nintendo Switch. As Kotaku media pointed out, it is now impossible to access the home page. Instead, you can read the following message:

This action was carried out in association with the Information and Fiscal Investigation Service (FIOD), a Dutch organization. Contacted by Kotaku, Nintendo and the FBI did not comment on this decision.

Nintendo at war against piracy

For Nintendo, these giant libraries are a scourge since they allow you to get any game for free, provided they have the necessary tools to execute them. For that, computer pirates use consoles or pirate emulators on computers.

The Japanese giant persists in his search for any type of trick on his consoles and games. He also accused the transmission of pirated games, the 1mhichier site was forced to pay almost 450,000 euros to Nintendo at the beginning of the year.

Emulators also (software that allows you to play switch games on the computer) are not saved by the “big n”. Several of them, such as Yuzu or Ryujinx, had to stop working in front of the company’s threats.

The company even went to integrate a radical device into its new console. Any attempt to play pirate players will result in a console block, can no longer connect to Nintendo online services. Some owners quickly paid the price while trying to connect cards with several games before being immediately banished.
