Some Danish high school students will be able to use 2026 artificial intelligence during the Oral Baccalaureate Oral Test, the Ministry of National Education announced on Friday.
During this exam, students will be able to use AI in the oral preparation phase: once the subject has been shot, each student will have an hour of preparation during which “all the tools are allowed to use, including generative AI”, which was not the case until now. Then you will have to make your oral presentation before the examiner.
A “framed” use
Denmark, which authorizes supervised Internet use during exams since 2008, seeks to encourage, through a strict framework, digital learning in learning. “We are launching these experiments to find the right balance,” said Minister Mattias Tesfaye, cited in a statement.
This experience is open to secondary schools that will be voluntary and is only valid for the general sector.
In France, practice is strictly prohibited during exams. For duties, AI should only be used when the teacher has really agreed. In a regulation sent in June 2025 to establishments, national education stipulated that AI must be “at the service of education” and not a replacement for the effort of a student to find a good response.
In addition, Tech & Co had brought a test of the philosophy of BAC to several generative AI, the result had been definitive: none had had the average.
