“I had lost it too much.” After several months of uncertainty, the streamer Domingo formalized the return of “Palomitas de Corn”. His famous interview program will return on September 9 in a monthly format.
The announcement was made by the streamer in X, ex-twitter. In a brief humorous video, we can see the creator of content a little badly confessed to a psychologist at the end of the program. When the professional makes him pass the Rorschach test, these images similar to ink tasks, each photo reminds him of the interview program. “I will sing a program on Tuesday a month and the treatment will begin on September 9,” concludes the psychologist.
Therefore, streamer offers an appointment to its fans on September 9 at 8:00 pm on Twitch for the return of one of the flagship transmission programs, this time in a monthly format. Previously, “corn popcorn” was broadcast every Tuesday.
And the reactions were not long to arrive. “Finally the return, thanks,” wrote a surfer about X. “I hope to find the team,” adds another. “One or two per month is very good. Four was too much for you,” confirms a user.
Last December, Florent Derue, producer of this interview program, announced the end of “Popcorn” in its weekly form. “After 6 seasons and more than 500 direct hours, the program will no longer be in a weekly format. At the beginning of this adventure, I was far from imagining that this tray was going to see the artists who admired and completed whole rooms of acting,” he explained in X.
The decision, taken by the mutual agreement between Domingo and Webedia, which produced the program, had aroused a wave of negative reactions on social networks. To end with style, Domingo had decided to return in April for an event night at Olympia, and live on Twitch.
In six years, “Popcorn” has managed to make a place of choice with children under 25 years. Internet personalities, the world of sport or song were regularly invited to talk about their news. Among them, Pierre Niney, Integag, Thomas Pesquet or Clara Luciani. According to Webedia, in January 2024, the program had “more than 300,000 live visits per week, but also in repetition, with 2.5 million accumulated visits on average per program on YouTube this season.”
