Bad news for the 254,000 Table Tennis Bachelor of France: Your data may have been compromised after a “massive” cyber attack, as confirmed by the French Table Tennis Federation with Tech & Co.
The authorities seized, a complaint filed
This refers to the name, first name, gender, date and place of birth, as well as all means of contact (email, postal address, telephone number) or the license number.
“The FFTT deeply regrets this situation and wishes to ensure that all its services are mobilized to administer this intrusion. The Federal IT service works in collaboration with its technical suppliers, the correction of this security failure,” added the Federation in a press release.
Interested persons have received an email in the last hours, or are on their way to receive it.
The Cnil, a gendarme of personal data, but also the ANSSI, a national agency dedicated to cybersecurity, has been informed, as provided in the law, and a complaint has been filed.
The risks of this leak, whose number of victims is not known, are numerous: a phishing campaign can be launched, particularly for a false defect in payment or other attacks to deceive a user and better extract bank information. Banking information that was not stolen during the FFTT attack, as well as health data.
