Jean Pormanove affair: live violence resumes, justice seeks in the “Lokal”

According to information from Mediapart, which BFMTV can confirm, the Nice prosecutor’s office opened a new flagrant investigation, a month after the relaunch of “Lokal”, this streaming channel where Jean Pormanove was murdered.

New twist in the “Jean Pormanove” affair. Confirming the information from Mediapart, the Nice prosecutor’s office explains to BFMTV that it has opened today, Friday, October 10, a new flagrant investigation for “intentional violence at meetings” and “dissemination of images of personal attacks.” This decision comes after the resumption of lives by the same team of Nice streamers. Among them: “Naruto’s” brother, Gwen C.

“Only violence”

According to our information, his studio, called “Le Lokal”, was searched by the Nice judicial police. Their computer equipment was seized. For a few days, Gwen C. and two other acolytes had once again broadcast scenes of violence. Continuing with the same formula but this time using another platform: Twitch.

“BFM, contact me”

In the role of the new painkiller, he replaces Jean Pormanove, a man of about thirty years old. We see him kneel and beg, in an exaggerated manner, for forgiveness.

To avoid Twitch censorship, this is how they do it: before hitting him, they cut the camera image. Only the sound of the blows remains. In an excerpt seen by Mediapart, we hear one of the young women shout “BFM, contact me please” after one of the streamers revealed that she had received “big slaps”.

The Nice prosecutor’s office had already opened an investigation in December 2024 for “intentional violence at meetings” for acts of violence committed previously. A Mediapart investigation had just revealed this online abuse business. A lucrative activity since the broadcast of this sordid show was accompanied by donations from viewers.

At the beginning of the matter…

For the record, Jean Pormanove died after 300 hours of live streaming on the Kick platform, on August 18, after having suffered multiple humiliation and abuse from other cameramen, including Owen C. (aka “Naruto”) and Safine H. (aka “Safine”).

An investigation into the causes of death was opened and is still ongoing. Jean Pormanove’s (real name Raphaël Graven) Kick channel, where harassment and abuse served for months as an authentic editorial line, was immediately banned. The project was stopped shortly after his funeral. Before resurrecting.

Contacted by Tech&Co, Twitch has not yet responded to our request for information and reaction.
