“Anyone can freely exploit his image”: when Tibo InShape allows Internet users to create deepfakes of him in Sora 2, for better or worse

Through the “Cameo” function, the most followed content creator in France allows Internet users to use their voice and face in videos generated by AI in Sora 2. A way to occupy media space while promoting their book… despite the numerous abuses.

Tibo InShape as a player Squid game. Tibo InShape who rides a dog to the gym or Tibo InShape who robs the Louvre. For several days on Tiktok, Internet users have been inundated with improbable videos starring the most followed YouTuber in France.

It’s no surprise, since the fitness content creator made his face available in 3D in Sora 2, OpenAI’s new video generator, via the Cameo functionality. The option allows users to generate videos with their own image or that of other Internet users who have authorized the use of their face.

“Anyone can exploit your image”

Internet users are therefore free to use their image to generate deepfakes, “fake” videos using AI, each one crazier than the last. “This means that he consciously left his image and voice freely exploitable for a few days, creating an avalanche of lunar videos on Tiktok,” analyzes Mathieu Crucq, CEO of Brainsonic, on Linkedin.

So we can see the cameraman “breaking everything” because he doesn’t eat his three-meat tacos fast enough.

In another content, he cries and screams that he “knows it was (him) who stole the jewelry.” In another, she does a beauty tutorial and puts on a princess dress.

Many deviations

Sometimes the threshold of being a good child is crossed and the videos flirt with more sensitive topics, even if sometimes that means going beyond the limits. On Tiktok, for example, you can find a video where the cameraman claims to have converted to Judaism, another where the creator is overweight and orders several hamburgers. In other content, he uses racist insults. “There are videos in the community that are sometimes funny and other times frankly racist, frankly ultra-violent, because anyone can do anything,” laments Mathieu Crucq.

For its part, Tibo InShape doesn’t seem to worry about it. “A new social network is emerging, it’s Sora 2. Imagine Tiktok, but in the form of artificial intelligence where people can use deepfakes, heads. Currently, people have fun on Tiktok putting me in situations, eating hamburgers,” explains the YouTuber with 26.9 million subscribers on the BFMTV set. A welcome focus for those who promote behind the lighthis book published on October 23.

Tibo InShape is not the first personality to use the Cameo feature. Sam Altman, co-founder of OpenAI, to promote its functionality, offered all users the possibility of integrating it into any photorealistic video. A Linkedin post quickly went viral, picturing Sam Altman arrested at Target for…stealing GPUs.
