“It is with deep sadness that we announce the unexpected death of Emman.” With these words, the family of influencer Emman Atienza, followed by more than 800,000 subscribers on TikTok, announced her death this Friday, October 24, in a message published on Instagram.
Emman, known for her lifestyle content, had moved from the Philippines to Los Angeles, California. According to the American media TMZ, she was found dead on Wednesday, October 22, the first elements of the Los Angeles County coroner suggested a suicide.
“Kindness”, “courage” and “compassion”
In this same message, her loved ones wanted to remember that the young woman “did not hesitate to share her own journey with mental health,” thus allowing many people to “feel less alone.”
“To honor Emman’s memory, we hope that you will perpetuate [ses] qualities that characterized her,” the message concludes.
